Deputy Probate and Juvenile Reister

The Probate and Family Court has an opening for a full-time Deputy Probate and Juvenile Register. The job is a Courthouse union position and is classified as a T-6 position. Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a legal setting, must have the ability to use standard dictation/transcription equipment, have excellent typing, grammatical, and clerical abilities, and have account processing experience, preferably EXCEL. Full-Time Plumbing / Mechanical Inspector

Houghton County will be accepting applications for a full-time Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be able to become registered with the State of Michigan, as required by Act 54 of 1986.

Qualifications include:

Mechanical Inspector Rule 43.
An applicant for registration as a provisional mechanical inspector shall have possessed a mechanical license for not less than 1 year in 3 or more categories 1, 2, 4, or 9 as defined in 1984 PA 192, MCL 338.971 to MCL 338.988 (the Forbes Mechanical Contractor's Act).

Plumbing Inspector Rule 46.
An applicant for registration as a provisional plumbing inspector shall have possessed a journey license for not less than 2 years or shall be licensed as a master plumber under the provisions of the State Plumbing Act, 2002 PA 733, MCL 338.3511 to 338.3569.
