Part-time Maintenance

Job Title: Part-Time Maintenance Worker
Job Summary:
The Houghton County Courthouse is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Part-Time Maintenance Worker. This role involves snow shoveling, general cleaning, and other janitorial duties to ensure our facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:
• Clear snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, and entryways.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas and restrooms.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and shoveling.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in maintenance or janitorial work is a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends during snow events.

Hours:
Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility for weather-related needs.

Compensation:
$17.00 an hour
