The Houghton County is accepting applications for a permanent part-time Janitorial position for the Houghton County Courthouse.

General Summary:
Performs janitorial services and minor facility maintenance of the Courthouse,
and related grounds, additional tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager. All employees shall be required to comply with the appropriate background check.
Typical Duties:
Maintain Cleanliness of the Courthouse building, sidewalks, parking areas, and entrances.
Remove snow and ice from entrances and sidewalks. Ancillary Duties – As directed by the Facilities Manager or designee.

Airport Part-Time Janitorial

The Houghton County Memorial Airport is accepting applications for a permanent part-time Janitorial position for the Houghton County Memorial Airport.

General Summary:
Performs janitorial services and minor facility maintenance of the Airport terminal,
and related grounds, additional tasks as directed by the Airport Manager. All
employees shall be required to comply with the appropriate background check for
entry into restricted areas.
Typical Duties:
Maintain Cleanliness of the Airport Terminal building sidewalks, parking area, and
entrances.
Remove snow and ice from Terminal entrances and sidewalks.
Change lights inside and outside of terminal.
Prepare and maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.
Ancillary Duties – As directed by the Airport Manager or designee.

Part-Time Cook

The Houghton County Sheriff's Office is looking for a part- time cook. The opening for this position includes preparing meals for inmates, overseeing the daily cleanup of the kitchen. The hours for this position are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every other Saturday and Sunday some weekdays when needed. Starting hourly rate is $18.00.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney - Houghton County

Duties: The responsibilities of an Assistant Prosecutor include: the analysis of warrant requests; conducting pretrial conferences, bench trials and jury trials; and any other duties as assigned by the Prosecuting Attorney and Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Caseload will
include matters in probate and family court, and both misdemeanor and felony cases.

Requirements: Must be licensed by the State Bar of Michigan. Applicants that have sat for the July 2022 Bar Exam are eligible to apply, but employment is conditioned upon passing the Bar and Character and Fitness.

Financial Information: $55,990.00 - $69,051.00, depending on experience level, plus benefits
