The duties of the County Clerk are provided by Michigan Law, include, but are not limited to:

  • Clerk of the Circuit Court

  • Chief Election Official of the County

  • Clerk of the County Jury Board

  • Clerk of the Concealed Weapons Licensing

  • Clerk of the County Board of Canvassers

  • Clerk of the County Board of Commissioners

  • Clerk of the County Apportionment Commission

  • Clerk of the County Election Commission

  • Clerk of the County Plat Board

  • Vital Records Registrar

  • Maintenance of Public Records

Public records which must be maintained according to law, including those of births, deaths, marriages, concealed weapons permits, Notary Public, Assumed Names, Circuit Court files, and Minutes, Resolutions, and Contracts approved by the County Board.

  • Assumed Names (DBA's)

  • Marriage License

  • Notary Bond Filing

  • Photos for Passports

Honor Rewards

What is the Honor Rewards Program?

Honor Reward allows Houghton County veterans to sign up to receive an Honor Rewards Identification Card. This ID card can be used to receive discounts and benefits at local participating businesses.

About the Program

The Honor Rewards program is a nationally recognized program created by Fidlar Technologies as a means of honoring our military veterans. The program enables veterans to receive discounts at participating area businesses by showing their Honor Rewards ID card.

Veteran Sign-Up

If you are a veteran, you can sign up to receive an Honor Rewards ID Card at NO cost.
