Houghton County Building Department

Information

The Houghton County Building Department issues all Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing permits for the entire County. The issuance of the 911 address numbers are also performed by this office.

A permit application must be filed and permit issued prior to any work being done. If not, projects will be subject to a 50% fee.
