Special Board of Commissioners Meeting

HOUGHTON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

SPECIAL MEETING

A Special Meeting has been scheduled for:

Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

The meeting is to discuss the Jail Committee’s recommendation from the received ROM cost estimates for building a new Jail and Sheriff Department and to discuss and approve ballot language for the November 3, 2026 election and any other matters that come before the Board.

The Special Meeting will be held in the Board of Commissioner’s Hall the 5th floor of the Houghton County Courthouse, 401 E. Houghton Avenue, Houghton, MI 49931.
